32 Thoughts on 32 Teams

The Patriots play the Steelers in a few minutes.  Besides that, it's a week of pretty craptacular match ups.  So, while I watch the Dolphins - Giants game, here is a thought or two on each NFL team.

49ers - Always liked Patrick Willis, going back to Ole Miss.  One of the best linebackers in the NFL.  Alex Smith is playing pretty well.  Should come out of the NFC West.

Bears - The Bears won't let Matt Forte get away, but I hate the idea of overpaying for star running backs.

Bengals - I'm surprised.  Thought they would be terrible this season.  Not because I don't like Andy Dalton and AJ Green, but because I thought the rest of the team was garbage.  Great trade of Carson Palmer.

Bills - Putting together a decent team.  I've thought their biggest problem for years has been QB.  Now they have re-signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and are accumulating some good young players.  Didn't like the CJ Spiller pick; thought that was way too high for him.

Broncos - All we are saying, is give Tebow a chance!

Browns - Not sure if Peyton Hillis gets that big contract he's been after, at least not anytime soon.

Bucaneers - Josh Freeman is better than I thought.  Mike Williams is exactly what I thought (a draft day steal).

Cardinals - Blah.

Chargers - Wouldn't want Norv Turner coaching my team.

Cheifs - Schizo.  They're accumulating young talent, but I'm not sure they've put it together yet.  Doesn't help that they lost one of the best RB's in the league to injury.

Colts - Wonder what their record is if Peyton Manning is healthy.  They just don't have the talent they used to.

Cowboys - Live by Romo, die by Romo.

Dolphins - Don't want them to get Andrew Luck.  They are pretty putrid.

Eagles - Don't want to play them late in the season.  They're still dangerous as long as Michael Vick is healthy.

Falcons - Could get to the NFC Championship, or miss the playoffs.

Giants - See Falcons.  Not looking very impressive against the Dolphins.

Jaguars - Seem to play hard despite not being all that talented (and starting a rookie QB).  Need to ride MJD until the wheels fall off.

Jets - As a Pats fan, I think Rex Ryan is a terrific coach (honest, I do).  On the bright side, the Sanchise is still their QB.

Lions - The future is bright, even though they've lost a couple.  However...

Packers - ...to be the best, you've got to beat the best.  And the Packers are the best.

Panthers - Not gonna lie to you; I was a Cam Newton doubter.  Now I'm sold.

Patriots - The defensive backs scare me.  Otherwise the favorites in the AFC.

Raiders - Gave up too much for Carson Palmer.

Rams - Wait 'til next year.

Ravens - Always knew Ray Rice would be an excellent NFL running back.  Not sure if the window is closing as the defense keeps getting older.

Redskins - Wheels are beginning to fall off.

Saints - Not sure what's going on in St. Louis right now.  Should be the #2 seed in the NFC.

Seahawks - Rebuilding.

Steelers - Will know more about this team in a few hours.

Texans - AFC sleeper team (five years running).

Titans -Wondering when we'll see the old Cop Speed that we know and love.

Vikings - I liked what I have seen in Christian Ponder.  Looks like he could be a good QB.

GAME ON!
